The commentary on Danny Mainus is the only redeeming feature.

Yes, and they have taken the skill and discipline of Jujutsu, boxing and what have you and turned it into a brawl.

Not questioning the skill and dedication of those involved, it’s the entire concept that turns all those skills and disciplines into something you could just as easily be watching on high streets up and down the country once the nation gets a few beers down its throat.

Didn’t expect to see Eddie Bravo’s name on WHO ever. There’s a 10th Planet gym that is part of his set up out east somewhere -Beckton? Canning Town?

@Capitol Man. I sense you're pretty old so i'll give you this for free.

JuJitsu is just one of the many martial arts on show in MMA. Take a look at Royler gracie vs Eddie Bravo 2 from years ago. That should give you more than enough of an idea of technique, style, art etc...

Gracie and family pioneered the art

It always strikes me as being like a fight outside a nightclub that takes pace at 2am every Saturday night.

There seems to be something much more artful and sporting about Boxing.

Blood sports should be illegal.

Disgusting to watch.

Brain dead morons punching the fuck out of each other to entertain people who dont have the front to do it themselves. Tragic.

Read a book ffs.

McGregor if it wasn't for his lack of endurance would have been a quite decent boxer.

Re: UFC - Mcgregor Vs Cowboy
they could very well be, and maybe then more boxers will wanna move across.

as it stands boxing pays more so you wont see any active (successful) fighters looking to move across to UFC.

Re: UFC - Mcgregor Vs Cowboy
Mayweather is unreal the amount of money he brings in but i think he is a standout way above the rest.

Also MMA is a new sport compared to boxing and is one of the fastest (if not the fastest) growing sports int he world, whereas outside of a couple of boxers still bringing in a big box office i would say boxing is declining.

10 years time i think they could be very close in popularity

Re: UFC - Mcgregor Vs Cowboy
biggest UFC PPV is about 2 million buys.
boxing is about 4.5m buys.

Re: UFC - Mcgregor Vs Cowboy
have a look at how much McGregor made in his one boxing match vs how much he made in the biggest fight in UFC.

Boxing dwarfs UFC anyway you look at it.

Mcgregor is worth about 3 times what Deontay Wilder is and is getting 8m quid for his next fight?

goose 12:32 Fri Jan 17
Re: UFC - Mcgregor Vs Cowboy
no its the money.

they box for money, why would they take loads less money to move sports?

Re: UFC - Mcgregor Vs Cowboy
it's more the getting knocked or choked out in a minute or two that puts them off than the hugging
